SAP S/4HANA Go-live for E-commerce
SAP S/4HANA Go-live for E-commerce at CALIDA
02. 06 2026
CALIDA is an international brand, founded in Switzerland and renowned worldwide for quality, comfort, innovation and modernity. Every product is a promise of Swiss quality. Responsibly manufactured from materials that are as natural and skin-friendly as possible, with a minimal impact on the environment.
Together with consenso as its implementation partner, CALIDA Group Digital (CALIDA DGTL for short) went live with SAP S/4HANA in the e-commerce division at the turn of the year.
The first activities in the project to introduce SAP S/4HANA at CALIDA DGTL began in September 2024. The core of the project was the migration of central business processes – merchandise management, warehouse management, financial accounting and controlling – from Microsoft Navision to SAP S/4HANA. Whilst Navision was previously not integrated and was used exclusively for e-commerce, SAP S/4HANA now forms the end-to-end, integrated core system. This included connecting the new system to a wide variety of peripheral systems.
consenso provided comprehensive support for the project – from project management through to the operational go-live. The services included overall project management, process consultancy and customisation in the areas of e-commerce (webshops and marketplaces), returns processes, customer service, integration between ERP and EWM, procurement for the e-commerce warehouse, finance and controlling, and master data management.
In addition, consenso was responsible for integration with SAP ECC and other peripheral systems, the development of the necessary interfaces based on SAP CPI, and custom ABAP development. This was complemented by the development and configuration of Fiori apps, the creation of Adobe Forms, and the comprehensive preparation and execution of the go-live. Consenso also provided support during the subsequent hypercare phase.
For risk management reasons, the rollout was carried out in three stages:
Step 1 began on 1 July 2025 with the go-live of the marketplaces in Switzerland (e-commerce Switzerland and Liechtenstein) and shipping from the logistics centre in Switzerland.
Step 2 followed on 1 October 2025 with the migration of the Swiss web shop (e-commerce in Switzerland and Liechtenstein).
Step 3 was successfully implemented on 1 January 2025 and comprised the global rollout of the online shops and marketplaces, as well as the full implementation of all processes at the logistics centre in Germany.
The final step in particular presented the project team with enormous challenges – coinciding with the busiest sales period of the year, including Black Week, the Christmas rush and the winter sale. However, through a concerted effort, the team managed to stick to the schedule and complete the migration on time. The go-live took place as planned at New Year and marked the successful conclusion of an intensive year of project work. This milestone was celebrated in style: with a toast and a classic Swiss raclette at the CALIDA DGTL office. Sometimes sleep is simply overrated.
The high level of commitment shown by everyone involved in the project was duly recognised by CALIDA’s management. Oliver Steinle, Director of IT at CALIDA, personally congratulated the team that very night on “a truly sensational success that sets new standards”. A compliment that fills us with pride and makes up for a great deal.
Many thanks for the successful collaboration! We look forward to tackling the further transformation from SAP ECC Retail to S/4HANA together with CALIDA!
